I attended an exclusive all-girls Catholic high school and had an interesting experience growing up. My high school life was a cross between Madeline and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Maybe because I was busy living my life – working while going to college, getting married, and juggling a career while raising a family - I never really thought of looking back.
As I get older and more content, I felt this longing to reconnect with old friends. Through the power of the internet, I found them!
They live all over the world - as far as Australia and Philipppines and as close as California. I am so glad to hear that they became successful in their chosen fields, happily married wives and loving moms, while others took a 180 degree turn (for the better) from the way I remembered them in high school. My classmates are all different and yet I discovered the qualities they have in common… confident, poised, intelligent, and resilient. I am so proud to be a part of this group of gorgeous and strong women.
Last month, six of us decided to meet. I still cannot believe that after over 25 years we found each other again! Below are a few of our pictures - I’m the one in the silver dress. Please click on each photo for a larger view.
We still reminisce the times when one of the nuns gave us 5 demerits for wearing our white and sky blue school uniform more than 1" above the knee... we were such rebels. Times have certainly changed!
We had so much fun with this one.

I made this star album for Toni, Beoula, Digna, Lynnette, and Millie (left to right) to preserve their photos.
(We will make this Star Album at our scrap club in June).
Someday, I will write a book about our stories. For now, I'm content journaling my stories with these pictures in my scrapbook.
I look forward to next year when we see each other again. Thanks for your friendship.
